AIRPORTS:
If you’ll be flying in for the weekend, the closest (and easiest) airport is Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA). There are many non-stop flights from across the country into this airport, and it is only two metro stops away from Old Town (approx. $20-25 taxi ride).
Alternatively, Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) are options; both of these are about 45 minutes away from Alexandria.
RONALD REAGAN WASHINGTON NAT'L AIRPORT (DCA)
Distance from Old Town: 5 Miles
Public Transportation to Old Town Via: METRO - Old Town is only 2 stops away from DCA. Take either the Yellow Line towards Huntington or the Blue Line towards Franconia/Springfield.

WASHINGTON DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIPORT (IAD)
Distance from Old Town: 32 Miles
Transportation to Old Town Via: METROBUS 5A (about 40 minutes), which will shuttle you to ROSSLYN, where you can METRO to Old Town on the Blue Line towards Franconia/Springfield.

BALTIMORE/WASH. INT'L THURGOOD MARSHALL AIRPORT (BWI)
Distance from Old Town: 40 Miles
Transportation to Old Town Via: MARC or AMTRAK train to UNION STATION, where you can METRO on the Red Line to Gallery Place/Chinatown and transfer to the Yellow Line towards Huntington.
